I was so impressed with the treatment I received at Dr. Romanowski’s office. I want to express my gratitude and appreciation. Everyone associated with the Doctor’s practice was friendly yet professional. The receptionist, x-ray technician, his P.A. Jerome, Dr. Cindy Romanowski, his surgery scheduler …. everyone had a great attitude and the atmosphere put me in a good frame of mind despite my pain. I suffered from a “bone on bone” condition in my knee, which was very painful. Dr. Romanowski recommended a partial knee replacement which I agreed to. I reported to Kenmore Mercy Hospital in the morning and was discharged that afternoon. After 3 days of discomfort and some pain, I began to feel much better. My surgery was May 4th and by July I was totally pain free with almost no stiffness. I am able to walk 2 to 3 miles and ride my bike for as long as I like with no discomfort or pain. We here in WNY are fortunate to have Dr. Romanowski and his staff. My sincere thanks to all of you!!! You have improved my quality of life 100%. By the way, I am 72 years old!!!
My name is Joanne Christ. My husband Terry and I have been patients of Dr. Marcus Romanowski since 2003. We have both had successful total knee replacements at Kenmore Mercy Hospital by Dr. Romanowski. Our care by the doctor and staff on the orthopedic floor was excellent. We can now travel with no difficulty or pain and go to the gym 3x a week. It is great to be pain free and not limping.
Dr. Marc Romanowski is my ” Annie Sullivan, a miracle worker”- as he performed surgeries on both of my knees which were total replacements. The first surgery was last year and the second was three weeks ago. His outstanding skills, concerns and attention in going the extra mile shows what an excellent surgeon he is, demonstrating both deep and expert care and also providing motivation to get through painful times.
The decision to have a hip replacement is a scary one. I have been in construction my whole life and always been active in sports. I was 53 years old and in tremendous pain all the time with the arthritis in my hip. I am also a Tae Kwon Do martial arts instructor. Dr. Romanowski said that this was the best way to go. My wife and I researched this surgery and the surgeons available in my area. The decision was made to go ahead and it was scheduled a lot quicker than I had anticipated. The prep class was excellent, the staff and assistants made me very comfortable before and after surgery. The next day I was up with a walker doing physical therapy. Went home in 3 days. Within 2 weeks I was back in class with a cane. Within a month I was starting to stretch and ease into my schedule. I can not believe how this operation, Dr. Romanowski , His “crew” at Kenmore Mercy Hospital and his staff have improved my quality of life. I was given an opportunity to live my life the way I used to again. If I knew then what I know now I wouldn’t have worried so much. If you choose Dr. Romanowski and Kenmore Mercy you will not regret your decision. On top of all that, He is also a very nice and kind individual that spends time talking with you like a human being, not just a number. I am now 59 and my hip is still as good as new. I teach 14 classes a week and am very active in the outdoors and still in construction. All I can say is thank you to everyone involved, and when it is time for my other hip there will be no hesitation.
Dr. Romanowski replaced my knee and got me back to work faster than I thought I could. I was to the point that I had to do something because I could barely get out of bed. His bedside manner is excellent and my knee feels great. His assistants took care of everything from scheduling my surgery, a preop class and my home physical therapy after the surgery.
